The electricity tariffs for October 2026 have not yet been determined by the government. However, PLN customers will continue to be charged the same rates as the previous month until a decision is reached regarding electricity tariffs for the fourth quarter of 2026.

These tariffs apply to 13 non-subsidised customer categories under PT PLN (Persero). Through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), the government only conducts electricity tariff adjustments every three months, or per quarter.

This provision is in accordance with the Minister of ESDM Regulation Number 28 of 2016 in conjunction with Minister of ESDM Regulation Number 8 of 2023 concerning Electricity Tariffs Provided by PT PLN (Persero).

Under these regulations, changes to electricity tariffs are implemented quarterly. Consequently, the tariffs set for the fourth quarter of 2026 will remain in effect from October to December 2026.

Changes to electricity tariffs are typically triggered by shifts in realised macroeconomic parameters, namely the exchange rate, the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP), inflation, and the Reference Coal Price (HBA).

Regarding the determination of electricity tariffs for the fourth quarter of 2026, including this October, neither the government nor PLN has indicated whether electricity rates will remain stable or undergo changes. Therefore, the current electricity tariffs remain consistent with those of the previous month.

  • R-1/TR category, 900 VA capacity: Rp 1,352.00 per kWh.

  • R-1/TR category, 1,300 VA capacity: Rp 1,444.70 per kWh.

  • R-1/TR category, 2,200 VA capacity: Rp 1,444.70 per kWh.

  • R-2/TR category, 3,500-5,500 VA capacity: Rp 1,699.53 per kWh.

  • R-3/TR category, 6,600 VA and above: Rp 1,699.53 per kWh.

  • B-2/TR category, 6,600 VA-200 kVA capacity: Rp 1,444.70 per kWh.

  • B-3/TM category, above 200 kVA capacity: Rp 1,114.74 per kWh.

  • I-3/TM category, above 200 kVA capacity: Rp 1,114.74 per kWh.

  • I-4/TT category, 30,000 kVA and above: Rp 996.74 per kWh.

  • P-1/TR category, 6,600 VA-200 kVA capacity: Rp 1,699.53 per kWh.

  • P-2/TM category, above 200 kVA capacity: Rp 1,522.88 per kWh.

  • P-3/TR category for public street lighting: Rp 1,699.53 per kWh.

  • L/TR, TM, TT category: Rp 1,644.52 per kWh.
