The Secretariat General (Setjen) of DPR RI has issued a circular containing efficiency measures for the operational use of various facilities within the parliamentary complex. The instruction, issued on 27 March 2026, is addressed to senior leaders within the secretariat and DPR leadership. Efficiency is applied to the use of several operational facilities, from electricity, telephones, water, fuel, to meeting provisions. “Following the directives of the President and DPR RI leadership to implement efficiency in ministries and institutions, the Secretariat General of DPR RI has issued policies to optimise the use of resources and budgets,” as quoted from the circular. The full contents of the circular are as follows: 1. Regulation of building and DPR RI area operations: • Use of electricity in the office environment by turning off the power supply once it is no longer in use, at the latest by 18:00 local time. • Operation of room cooling (Air Conditioner/AC) from 07:00 to 18:00 local time. • Lifts and escalators will be activated from 07:00 to 18:00 local time. After 18:00, efficiency in the use/operation of lifts will be implemented up to 70%. • Use of telephones and water adjusted according to needs. • Operating hours of sports facilities that impact electricity use limited to a maximum of 18:00 local time. 2. Regulation of operational vehicles and fuel: • Savings on fuel for official operational vehicles of Mid-Level High Officials, Primary High Officials, and Administrator Officials. • Operational vehicles for employees adjusted according to the scheduled WFH/WFA. 3. Regulation of support activities for meetings in the DPR RI Secretariat: • Internal meetings at each Echelon I level will only provide meeting provisions in the form of main meals. • Meetings conducted online will not be provided with meeting provisions. 4. Employees are urged to reduce the use of private vehicles and switch to public transport.
