The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) has set the series of events for the Hajj pilgrimage in 1447 Hijriah, or 2026, starting on 21 April 2026. This schedule serves as the primary reference for all prospective Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in preparing the stages of worship, from entering the Hajj dormitory to returning to the homeland.

The provisions are contained in the Decree of the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of 2025. The Hajj pilgrimage series this year lasts more than two months, covering the departure phase, the peak of worship in Arafah, and the gradual return of pilgrims.

“Insya Allah, pilgrims will be departed according to the schedule, the first batch enters the Hajj dormitory on 21 April and the first departure on 22 April,” said the Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Hasan Affandi, to Republika.co.id on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

The initial stage begins with pilgrims entering the Hajj dormitory on 21 April 2026. The next day, the first wave of departures to Medina starts gradually from various embarkation points in Indonesia.

The first wave runs until early May. Subsequently, the second wave of departures is conducted via Jeddah starting 7 May 2026. The entire process of departing Indonesian Hajj pilgrims is scheduled to be completed on 21 May 2026.

Entering the peak worship phase, pilgrims will move from Mecca to Arafah on 25 May 2026. The Wuquf at Arafah, which is a pillar of Hajj, is scheduled to take place on 26 May 2026. After that, pilgrims celebrate Eid al-Adha on 27 May 2026, followed by the days of Tashriq until 30 May 2026.

After the main series of worship, the return process for pilgrims is carried out gradually. The first wave begins to be repatriated via Jeddah on 1 June 2026 and is scheduled to finish on 15 June 2026.

Meanwhile, the second wave begins to be departed to Medina on 7 June 2026 before being repatriated to Indonesia starting 16 June 2026. The entire series of repatriation for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims is scheduled to be completed on 1 July 2026.
