Indonesia’s Jakarta metropolitan region, particularly Jabodetabek, will be able to enjoy the TransJabodetak SH2 bus service on the Blok M-Soekarno Hatta Airport route starting Thursday, 12 March 2026.
The bus service connects the central Jakarta terminal to the international airport in Cengkareng, Banten, covering a total route of approximately 65.1 kilometres.
This bus service is expected to provide an alternative public transport option to the airport with affordable fares, extensive routes, and facilities supporting passengers carrying luggage.
What are the fares, travel times, facilities, and where are the stops located?
A total of 14 new buses are available with a waiting time (headway) of approximately 10-20 minutes.
The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) DKI Jakarta estimates this bus route can serve approximately 1,900 to 2,000 passengers per day.
This fare has been implemented to support public mobility, especially during the mudik period and Eid season. After the trial period ends, this fare may be increased to Rp 10,000-15,000 per trip.
The buses are equipped with various facilities supporting travel to the airport, including low-entry luggage storage compartments to facilitate passengers carrying baggage.
The buses are also connected to Kalayang Station (skytrain) leading to three terminals at Soekarno Hatta Airport.
However, duration depends on traffic conditions. During rush hour, the duration may be longer.
