PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) will discontinue services on route 1N (Tanah Abang-Blok M) and 10D (Tanjung Priok-Kampung Rambutan) effective 1 July 2026. The policy has drawn complaints from users on social media. Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives, M Taufik Zoelkifli, stated he has monitored the complaints and will question the management regarding the reasons for the closure during a meeting scheduled for next week. ‘Coincidentally, we will have a meeting with all DKI Jakarta BUMDs on 7-8 July. We will ask Transjakarta about it then,’ he said on Tuesday (30/6/2026). The Chairman of the PKS faction in the DPRD acknowledged that Transjakarta likely has its reasons for the closure, but noted that such a policy cannot satisfy all parties. Previously, Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza explained that the service adjustment is part of a periodic evaluation to optimise customer service. Based on the evaluation, services on routes 1N and 10D will only operate until 30 June 2026. ‘We periodically evaluate each service based on customer travel patterns and operational performance,’ he stated on Friday (26/6/2026). He added that the evaluation considered customer travel patterns and the level of service overlap with other Transjakarta routes on the same corridors. Through this adjustment, the 25 buses from these routes will be deployed to support services on routes with higher travel demand. The additional units will also reduce waiting times on other routes. He assured that this will not reduce public mobility access as alternative routes have been prepared. All public facilities along the affected routes (68 points on route 10D and 47 points on route 1N) will still be accommodated and served by alternative routes. Welfizon emphasised that the service evaluation is part of Transjakarta’s effort to ensure the public transport network remains adaptive to customer needs. ‘This adjustment is made so that the fleet can be utilised more optimally while maintaining overall service quality. We have also prepared alternative travel options so that customers can continue to travel comfortably,’ he said.
