Complaints against KAI
Complaints against KAI
From Koran Tempo
As a commuter and one of the many regular users of services
offered by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (state-run railway company), I
feel compelled to complain as the following events prove how
customers are neglected.
On Oct. 6, the train plying the route between Tebet and
Universitas Indonesia took more than two and a half hours instead
of the usual 20 minutes.
On Oct. 18, all passengers on a train I was traveling on,
which was destined for Bogor, were transferred to another train
and returned to Kota station in Jakarta. We were packed into
overcrowded train cars that kept stopping every ten minutes. The
last straw came when the train stopped 200 meters short of
Universitas Indonesia station.
The comfort of passengers seems to be of little concern to PT
KAI, it never even attempts to inform passengers about the
reasons behind all these problems. Such courtesy should be the
least one could expect.
