Complainant Demands Legal Proceedings Continue Despite Bigmo's Apology Over Vape Promotion
YouTuber Muhammad Jannah, alias Bigmo, has been reported to the Polda Metro Jaya police following allegations that he encouraged minors to promote vape liquid or electronic cigarettes during a live broadcast on his YouTube channel. The complainant regarding Bigmo’s vape content has requested that the legal process continue.
“I realise that this incident was purely my mistake. There is no one I want to blame other than myself. I accept all feedback and criticism as material for evaluation so that I can become a better person in the future,” Bigmo stated via his personal Instagram on Sunday (2/8/2026).
Bigmo admitted that the issue serves as a valuable lesson for him and committed to being more cautious in every action. “This event is a very valuable lesson for me. I am committed to being more careful in every action and to continue introspecting so that the same mistake does not recur. Once again, I sincerely apologise to all parties who feel disappointed, disturbed, or harmed by what has happened,” he added.
Complainant Demands Legal Process to Proceed
One of the complainants, lawyer Thulus Pardosi, responded to Bigmo’s apology. He stated that while the apology itself is not an issue, the report filed with Polda Metro Jaya was driven purely by concern for children.
“Regarding the response, the apology is not a problem. That is perfectly valid. And actually, it is not a personal issue. We (the lawyers) are moving forward, as I happen to be a lawyer, purely out of concern for children,” he explained.
Thulus added that he has been coordinating with investigators regarding the legal process of the complaint. He noted that even though an apology has been issued, the report will remain active.
“I have not yet verified the specific details of that [the apology], but we have coordinated with the investigators at Polda. Peace offerings, especially those not conducted within the legal process, do not automatically halt the legal proceedings,” he said.
“It will continue (the legal process). And on Friday, 7 August at 14:00 WIB, we will present additional witnesses,” he concluded.
