In my opinion, the compensation system can also serve as a company strategy to boost productivity. When employees feel valued, they will be more enthusiastic in their work and strive to achieve the company’s targets. Conversely, if compensation is low and does not match the workload, employees tend to work perfunctorily. This shows that compensation has a close relationship with job satisfaction and organisational performance.
In the modern era today, the compensation system must also follow the times. Many companies are starting to provide additional compensation such as work from home, flexible work schedules, and mental health facilities. These changes are important because employees’ needs today are not only about income, but also about balance between work and personal life.
This can be concluded that the compensation system is an important factor influencing company success. A fair, decent, and performance-aligned compensation system can increase employee motivation, loyalty, and productivity. Companies should not view compensation as a cost burden, but rather as an investment to create high-quality and highly committed human resources.
