BEKASI, KOMPAS.com – Plans for a meeting to discuss compensation for the fire at the Bulk LPG Filling Station (SPBE) of PT Indogas Andalan Kita have yet to yield results. The meeting, held at the Bekasi City Government Plaza on Thursday (9/4/2026), involved Deputy Mayor of Bekasi Abdul Harris Bobihoe, representatives from Mustikajaya Subdistrict, SPBE delegates, and several related parties. However, the agenda was forced to be postponed because the SPBE side arrived late. It was explained that the rescheduling of the SPBE summons is still awaiting instructions from the Bekasi City Government leadership. “We’ll wait for instructions from the leadership on when exactly. Whether tomorrow or the day after,” he said. He added that the SPBE side’s delay was due to their attendance at the funeral of one of the deceased victims, Aulia Putri Budiasti. This was conveyed by Bekasi Deputy Mayor Abdul Harris Bobihoe during his inspection of the incident site on Thursday (2/4/2026). “Now, we are still trying to summon the owner for clarification. Because so far, only employees are present,” Harris stated. According to Harris, clarification from the SPBE owner is necessary to ascertain the cause of the fire while also discussing responsibilities towards the victims and affected residents. The incident razed approximately 2,000 square metres of land area and caused severe damage around the location. The number of fatalities in this incident was recorded at four people. In addition to causing loss of life, the fire also affected dozens of residents near the site. Based on re-verification results, 39 family heads (KK) were recorded as impacted.
