JAKARTA: Representatives from 21 prominent companies from France will arrive on a four-day business visit here at the end of this month to seek business opportunities in Indonesia, according to a statement issued by the French Embassy in Jakarta.
The embassy announced on Friday that the companies included those operating in the banking sector, oil and gas, shipping, telecommunications, as well as consultancy firms.
The French delegation will meet with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), local business associations and senior government officials, it added.
The embassy noted that there had been a growing number of French companies entering Indonesia during the past five years citing supermarket Carrefour, oil and gas company TotalfinaElf, car maker Renault, and mineral water producer Danone as examples. -- JP
