Compact electric car Chery Q launched with prices starting from Rp230 million
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chery has launched its new compact electric car, the Chery Q, with prices starting from approximately Rp230 million at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, held at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten, on Friday. An evolution of the Chery QQ, the model is being marketed in Indonesia in two variants: the Chery Q Pure, priced at Rp239.9 million, and the Chery Q Rizz, priced at Rp259.9 million during the early booking period.
“This price applies to those who pre-booked yesterday and was originally intended to last until 25 July 2026. However, during GIIAS 2026, we are extending it until 9 August, applicable throughout Indonesia via online orders,” said Budi Darmawan Jantania, Vice Country Director of the Chery Business Unit. He added that after this period, prices will revert to the normal rate, increasing by Rp10 million for each variant.
Consumers who complete the ordering process before 9 August 2026 are guaranteed to receive the car at the specified promotional price. Budi noted that market enthusiasm for the Chery Q has been high, with orders placed during the initial booking period from 18 May to 25 July 2026 exceeding 6,000 units.
Chery stated that it has prepared production capacity to ensure vehicles can be delivered promptly, preventing long waiting periods for customers. Deliveries to consumers are scheduled to take place in stages starting from August 2026, with the order of delivery following the sequence of bookings recorded in the system.
Orders for the Chery Q can be made through Chery’s official online platform with a booking fee of Rp5 million. Consumers can digitally monitor the order handling process, from order receipt and vehicle arrival at the dealer to the preparation and final delivery of the vehicle. According to Budi, customers who order the Chery Q during GIIAS are expected to begin receiving their vehicles around October or November 2026, once the company has completed the first wave of deliveries.
