Commuters Warned Juanda Station Could Become Crowded During Habib Umar’s Gathering
KAI Commuter has advised KRL passengers to expect possible crowding at Juanda Station in Central Jakarta from this afternoon until this evening. The warning comes ahead of a large religious gathering featuring Habib Umar bin Hafidz, scheduled to take place in the Monas area tonight.
“An advisory for #RekanCommuters. In connection with a religious study event at Istiqlal Mosque, we urge #RekanCommuters to remain orderly, prioritise safety and follow station staff instructions. If Juanda Station becomes full, KAI Commuter will operate a system of opening and closing queues for passengers entering the station,” the company said in an announcement posted on its official Threads account on Monday (12 October 2026).
KAI Commuter has urged KRL passengers to use alternative stations to avoid potential congestion at Juanda. These include Sawah Besar and Gondangdia stations.
“Always keep an eye on your belongings, take care during your journey and be an orderly passenger for everyone’s comfort and safety. Check the latest information and updates through KAI Commuter’s official channels before travelling,” the company said.
The large gathering and prayers for Indonesia, attended by Habib Umar, are due to begin at Monas at 8pm local time. The event is part of the preaching tour of Habib Umar, a cleric from Yemen.
