JAKARTA — During Ramadhan, Bina Sarana Informatika University (UBSI), operating as a Digital Creative Campus, has leveraged the holy month to reinforce values of social responsibility through its UBSI Ramadhan Rice Box Sharing Programme for the year 1447 H.

The programme distributes hundreds of rice boxes daily to communities surrounding the campus as iftar meals.

The sharing initiative operates consistently at UBSI’s Fatmawati Campus, located at Jl. RS Fatmawati No. 24, Pondok Labu, Cilandak, South Jakarta, targeting residents engaged in work as the time for breaking fast approaches. Recipients include nearby residents, online motorcycle taxi drivers, street vendors, and daily labourers.

Throughout Ramadhan, the rice box distribution programme runs every Monday through Friday, with hundreds of meal packages distributed shortly before Maghrib prayer. This initiative reflects the campus’s concern for those in need of iftar meals. The atmosphere of emotion and gratitude is evident among beneficiaries collecting their rice boxes.

Many feel supported by UBSI’s consistent sharing efforts. One recipient, Munadi, expressed his gratitude for the university’s concern.

“Alhamdulillah, this programme is extremely helpful for those of us still working as the time to break fast approaches. The rice boxes from UBSI are not merely food; they are also a show of attention and concern that makes us feel valued. May this campus always be blessed, continue to advance, and grow its student population,” Munadi said with profound gratitude.

According to Ishak Kholil, head of UBSI’s Fatmawati campus, the Ramadhan Rice Box Sharing Programme represents one way UBSI demonstrates social concern whilst strengthening relationships with the community and fostering a spirit of togetherness during the sacred month.

“Through this activity, UBSI hopes that the values of sharing and social responsibility will continue to grow, not only within the campus environment but also throughout the wider community,” he said in a statement received on Thursday (12 March 2026).

The programme also demonstrates UBSI’s commitment to delivering real benefits to surrounding communities, particularly during the blessed month of Ramadhan.
