Community Economy Strengthening: A Focus of Modern CSR Programmes

The role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes has evolved beyond mere social concern, becoming part of companies’ sustainability strategies. The company’s CSR efforts have earned it the TOP CSR Awards 2026 #Star 3 at an event in Jakarta on 25 May 2026. Edwin noted the award reflects company-wide collaboration in creating CSR initiatives that go beyond administrative processes to deliver sustainable community impact. “This award motivates us to strengthen our commitment to adaptive, inclusive CSR programmes that deliver real benefits. We believe corporate sustainability must go hand-in-hand with environmental and social well-being,” he added.

The TOP CSR Awards recognise companies that effectively, strategically, and sustainably implement CSR, considering their contributions to ESG principles and national development agendas. Edwin added the award indicates PLN Group’s sustainability transformation efforts are gaining national recognition. Previously, several PLN Group entities received similar awards for innovative and positively impactful community empowerment and environmental conservation programmes.
