Communications Minister Accompanies President Prabowo on Visit to Japan

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Communications and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid, along with several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet, accompanied President Prabowo Subianto on his first official visit to Japan. According to a government press release on Monday, the presidential entourage arrived at Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan, on Sunday (29/3) at 19:10 local time. President Prabowo’s working visit to Japan aims to strengthen the strategic partnership that has existed between Indonesia and Japan for 68 years. “This presidential visit will focus on discussing strategic matters between the two countries, including cooperation in technology and digital fields,” Meutya stated. While in Tokyo, President Prabowo is scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Emperor Naruhito of Japan and meet with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. “We hope the president’s visit can increase Japanese investment in Indonesia,” Meutya said. In addition to strengthening the established partnership, President Prabowo’s visit to Japan is expected to open up new mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities between Indonesia and Japan. After visiting Japan, President Prabowo and the entourage are scheduled to continue their journey to South Korea.
