Communications and Digital Ministry Officials Urged to Accelerate Digital Transformation
Jakarta — Indonesia’s Minister of Communications and Digital Technology, Meutya Hafid, has called on newly appointed officials within the Ministry of Communications and Digital Technology (Kemkomdigi) to accelerate the implementation of the national digital transformation programme so that its benefits can be directly realised by the public.
At the inauguration ceremony for senior executive officials within Kemkomdigi in central Jakarta on Friday (13 March), she stated that the acceleration of government work in implementing national digital transformation is critically important because digital technology is developing at an extremely rapid pace.
“The national digital transformation agenda cannot wait. Digitalisation is moving very quickly and the public demands tangible results from every policy we implement,” Meutya said, as quoted in a ministry statement confirmed on Saturday.
Meutya called on all work units within Kemkomdigi to operate swiftly, adaptively, and collaboratively so that every programme executed delivers real impact for the wider public.
She also reminded the newly inaugurated officials to strengthen cross-unit coordination and accelerate the implementation of various priority programmes of the ministry.
“This is a mandate that must be executed with strong leadership, high integrity, and the ability to move quickly in executing various government strategic agendas,” she said.
She emphasised that every policy implemented must be effective, accountable, and deliver measurable benefits to the public.
“I am confident that with the commitment and dedication of all personnel, we can make a genuine contribution to the progress of our nation and state,” she said.
The newly appointed officials within Kemkomdigi inaugurated on Friday (13 March) include Sonny Hendra Sudaryana as Director of Digital Ecosystem Development, Farida Dewi Maharani as Director of Media Ecosystem, and Nunik Purwanti as Director of Public Communications.
Additionally, Muhammad Zamzani B Tjenreng was inaugurated as Secretary of the Central Information Commission, Indra Maulana as Director of Digital Infrastructure Control, and Ervan Fathurokhman Adiwijaya as Secretary of the Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure.
