Communications and Digital Minister Receives Declaration of Support to Combat Digital Crime

Medan (ANTARA) - Minister of Communications and Digital Meutya Hafid received a declaration of support from a number of organisations, digital communities, and youth groups in Medan City in an effort to create a digital space that is safe, healthy, inclusive, productive, and free from digital crime. “This is a shared commitment for all of us. The younger generation is one of the important elements in improving digital literacy,” said Meutya Hafid at the Digital Crime Awareness Community Gathering event in Medan on Saturday. The declaration contains statements of stance and commitment from various organisations, digital communities, and youth groups to support efforts to prevent crime in the digital space. The participants also committed to becoming wise and responsible users of the digital space, and to complying with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations. In addition, they expressed readiness to increase vigilance and protect themselves and their surroundings from various threats and modes of digital crime. The declaration document was handed over directly to Minister of Communications and Digital Meutya Hafid as a form of support for programmes to improve digital literacy and prevent crime in the digital space.
