Commotion as Attorney General's Office Raids National Nutrition Agency and KPK Conducts Sting on Immigration Official

The Attorney General’s Office has been conducting a search of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) office since 02:00, and the operation is still ongoing. The raid follows President Prabowo Subianto’s decision to dismiss the head of the BGN, Dadan Hindayana, along with two deputies, Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sanjaya.

Acting Head of the Legal Information Centre of the Attorney General’s Office, Mohammad Jeffry, has confirmed the search. Jeffry stated that a press conference regarding the results of the search at the BGN office will be held in due course. “Special Crimes investigators from the Attorney General’s Office are indeed conducting a search at the BGN office,” he said via text message on Wednesday (3/6).

Observations at the location showed several BGN employees waiting outside the office area during working hours.

In a separate development on the same day, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a sting operation (OTT) against an immigration official in West Jakarta. According to gathered information, in addition to the involved parties, the KPK will also bring evidence from the operation, such as motor vehicles, to the Dwiwarna building.

Confirming separately, KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto explained that the covert operation is related to permits for Foreign Nationals (WNA). “It is certainly related to the processing of foreign nationals,” Fitroh told CNNIndonesia.com via written message on Wednesday (3/6).
