Commodity Futures Trading Shows Positive Growth as Digital Platforms Emerge
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Commodity futures trading transactions in Indonesia have continued to grow in recent years. According to data from the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti), the total transaction value of commodity futures trading (PBK) reached Rp33.214 trillion in 2024, up from Rp25.679 trillion in 2023. For 2025, the nominal value rose to Rp48.867 trillion, a 49.8% year-on-year increase, with transaction volume reaching 14.56 million lots, a 12% rise.
Positive trends in derivatives instruments such as forex and commodities have spurred the emergence of various digital trading platforms, aiming to meet investor demand for investment services in Indonesia. One such platform is Invetra, developed by PT Invetra Teknologi Berjangka. The platform claims to bring globally-standard trading capabilities directly to Indonesian traders in forex, gold, and commodities markets.
Jufri stated in a written release on Friday, May 29, 2026: “Our presence reflects the ongoing growth trend in Indonesia’s digital finance sector. We see Indonesian traders increasingly requiring stable and responsive platforms. Our infrastructure is designed to meet these needs, especially in fast-moving markets.”
Jufri added that Indonesia’s digital economy is projected to reach $360 billion by 2030. The company will focus on serving active forex and commodities traders who prioritise precision, speed, and interfaces designed to withstand daily trading intensity.
“We believe Indonesian traders deserve platforms that move at their pace. We can be the answer by delivering high performance and user-centric innovation to the local market,” he added.
Traders can explore the platform via website, Android, or iOS to experience a range of premium trading instruments, including forex, metals, indices, and commodities.
“By making portfolio diversification easier and safer, we position ourselves as part of Indonesia’s increasingly mature digital trading ecosystem,” Jufri concluded.
