Committee Announces 256,369 Successful Candidates in SNBT 2026

The National Selection Committee for New University Students (SNPMB) announced that 256,369 candidates passed the National Test-Based Selection (SNBT) 2026. The successful candidates represent 29.42% of the total 871,496 applicants who took the entrance exams for state universities this year.

SNPMB’s Chief of the Responsible Team, Eduart Wolok, urged successful candidates to promptly complete re-registration. “This is the result of the SNBT 2026 selection. The total available capacity is 286,864 seats, with 256,369 candidates admitted,” Wolok stated during a press conference at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology in Jakarta on Monday, 25 May 2026.

The committee stated that SNBT 2026 candidates competed for a total of 286,864 seats, comprising 228,118 undergraduate programmes, 33,510 diploma four or applied bachelor’s programmes, and 25,236 diploma three programmes across Indonesia’s state universities this year.

Of the total successful candidates, 108,488 were admitted to their first-choice programme, 101,584 to their second choice, 32,025 to their third, and 14,272 to their fourth choice, according to the SNPMB’s national test-based selection results announced this year.

The committee also noted that 86,118 successful SNBT 2026 candidates were KIP Kuliah (Indonesian Smart Card) applicants, accounting for 33.59% of all those admitted through the SNBT pathway for this year’s state university admissions.

SNBT 2026 involved 145 institutions, including 75 academic state universities, 26 state Islamic religious universities, and 44 state vocational polytechnics participating in the national new student selection process in Indonesia this year.

In terms of school origin, the highest number of applicants came from senior high schools (597,849), followed by vocational high schools (141,330), Islamic senior high schools (madrasah aliyah) (126,505), cooperative education units (1,047), and others (4,765) who took the national test-based selection this year.

The SNBT 2026 results were officially announced by SNPMB on Monday, 25 May 2026 at 15:00 WIB via the website https://pengumuman-snbt.snpmb.id and several PTN mirrors. Candidates can check their admission results by entering their UTBK-SNBT 2026 participant number and date of birth as per registration data in the SNPMB system.
