Commitment to Sustainable Energy: Pertamina Secures 14 PROPER Gold and 108 Green Awards from KLHK
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) has received 14 PROPER Gold awards and 108 PROPER Green awards from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry at the 2026 PROPER Awards ceremony held at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah on Tuesday (7/4/2026).
Pertamina secured the highest number of PROPER Gold awards, accounting for approximately 35% of the total 39 national PROPER Gold awards. The company also dominated the PROPER Green awards, capturing 44% of the total 243 national PROPER Green awards.
The President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) also received the highest accolade, Green Leadership, in recognition of leadership in environmental management and business sustainability.
Minister of Environment/Head of BPLH, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, stated that PROPER has evolved far beyond its original function as a compliance instrument.
“PROPER serves as a transformation engine that encourages companies not only to comply but to exceed compliance through innovation, resource efficiency, and tangible contributions to society,” said Hanif.
President Director of Pertamina, Simon Aloysius Mantiri, expressed gratitude for the awards received by the Pertamina Group. Pertamina is implementing the ‘Beyond Energy’ strategy – leadership in green energy transition and circular economy to ensure energy resilience in harmony with nature preservation.
“Our strategic steps today form the foundation for a more prosperous Indonesia. Through a spirit of collaboration, Pertamina acts as a catalyst in realising the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 that is advanced, independent, and sustainable,” said Simon.
Simon emphasised that, in line with the mandate from the Minister of Environment in Decree 129 of 2025, Pertamina has recorded a threefold increase in decarbonisation. While successfully improving energy efficiency, Pertamina has simultaneously doubled the use of new renewable energy.
“These achievements affirm that Pertamina is at the forefront of national energy. Pertamina leads strategic initiatives by integrating cross-sector potentials to accelerate the national energy transition,” said Simon.
