The Metro Jaya Regional Police have exposed criminal acts that have a serious impact on public order and security (kamtibmas), morality, and the future of the nation’s generation. The enforcement actions cover online gambling and narcotics. Metro Jaya Police Chief, Commissioner General Asep Edi Suheri, explained there are three main clusters being targeted by the Metro Jaya Police and its ranks. These crimes include the criminal act of online gambling via Hot51 and land-based gambling operating under the guise of Timezone arcades. “The third is the achievement in tackling the circulation of narcotics and dangerous hard drugs during the period of January to June 2026,” said Commissioner General Asep Edi Suheri during a press conference at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday (26/6/2026). Commissioner General Asep stated that this series of enforcement actions is a manifestation of the Metro Jaya Police’s commitment to supporting the government’s priority programmes and is in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita in strengthening political, legal, and bureaucratic reform, as well as bolstering the prevention and eradication of corruption and drugs. “Furthermore, the eradication of online gambling is a tangible part of our commitment to protecting the public from social and economic impacts,” he said. He added that this commitment is also aligned with the National Police’s ‘Presisi’ operational transformation, particularly in consolidating the performance of public order maintenance and improving performance in law enforcement. “At the Metro Jaya Police, we implement this commitment through the Jaga Jakarta+ programme: Jaga Warga, Jaga Lingkungan, Jaga Aturan, and Jaga Amanah,” he continued. He stressed that his party is not only oriented towards perpetrators in the field but is also pursuing controllers, networks, financial flows, assets resulting from crime, and parties who facilitate criminal acts.
