Commitment to Resolve West Java Non-Permanent Worker Salaries, Here's KDM's Approach
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has stated that he will soon meet the Minister of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) to discuss the problem of non-permanent worker salaries in West Java that cannot be disbursed. The West Java Provincial Government claims to have prepared the funds for disbursement. “As answered earlier, the money is available and has been allocated, but there is a circular from Menpan RB that prohibits us from paying non-permanent workers,” he said at the Pakuan Building on Wednesday (22/4/2026). He explained that if the West Java Provincial Government pays the non-permanent workers’ salaries, it is feared there will be financial deviations. However, the presence of these teachers and non-permanent staff in schools is greatly needed. “Well, if paid, there will be financial deviations. But they are needed for teaching, for administrative roles, and for school cleaning staff; they are needed,” he said.
