Commitment to Realising Decarbonisation Towards Net Zero Emissions Through Sustainable Business Practices
PT SUCOFINDO (PERSERO) continues to strengthen its role in supporting Indonesia’s decarbonisation agenda and accelerating the transition to Net Zero Emissions (NZE) through sustainable business practices that are integrated with its Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC) competencies.
The commitment was recognised at the Indonesia Top Achievements of The Year 2026 awards, organised by Metro TV, where SUCOFINDO received the Environmental and Industrial Compliance Excellence Award 2026 for its contribution to environmental compliance and sustainable industrial governance.
Dani Pramantyo, the company’s Director of Operations, stated that sustainability has become part of the business strategy: “Sustainability is not merely a commitment; it is embedded in programmes and services that deliver tangible impacts for the environment, society, and the economy in a balanced way.”
One example is the collaboration with the Kebumen District Environmental Service (DLHKP Kebumen) to develop facilities and optimise biogas in Kebumen Regency. The project uses methane from urban waste at a landfill (TPA) to be processed into biogas that can be used by surrounding communities as an alternative household fuel, while supporting the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Pramantyo said the initiative also aligns with SUCOFINDO’s role as a Lembaga Validasi dan Verifikasi (LVV) in the Greenhouse Gas (GRK) and Nilai Ekonomi Karbon (NEK) schemes, so the company’s contribution extends beyond technical work to strengthening the national carbon economy ecosystem.
Additionally, PT SUCOFINDO, together with Bendesa Adat Manukaya Let Gianyar and Yayasan Akshara Linia, developed a community-based waste management programme through the construction of 3R Transfer Stations (TPS 3R) as well as Green House & Ecofarm. The programme is designed to create sustainable impacts environmentally, socially, and in empowering local economies.
“Sustainable business growth can be achieved through integrated social and environmental responsibility, creating economic and social value for all,” Pramantyo said.
Discussing the Indonesia Top Achievement of the Year award in the Environmental and Industrial Compliance Excellence category won by SUCOFINDO (PERSERO), Pramantyo emphasised that the accolade motivates continued improvement in performance and Indonesia’s, and the world’s contributions.
“Going forward, we will continue to strengthen green services and ESG-based solutions, green action programmes, and other green generation services to support Indonesia’s Net Zero Emissions target,” he concluded.
As a TIC company, SUCOFINDO (PERSERO) is prepared to support CSR programme optimisation for businesses through services such as social mapping, ISO 26000 consultancy, sustainability reporting, Community Satisfaction Index (CSI) measurement, and CSR impact assessment using Social Return On Investment (SROI). This approach ensures CSR programmes are more measurable, strategic and aligned with the national Sustainable Development agenda.
