Commitment to implementing HSE standards in manufacturing yields national award
The application of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards has become a critical factor in maintaining operational sustainability within the manufacturing industry. These practices not only relate to worker protection but also influence the consistency of product quality.
As awareness of HSE aspects in business increases globally, numerous companies have begun incorporating these standards into integrated operational governance. This approach is considered capable of supporting production process stability whilst building a more disciplined and safer workplace culture.
In this context, PT Sarihusada Generasi Mahardhika has again received the Indonesia Best Companies in HSE Implementation 2026 award for the manufacturing category. This recognition acknowledges the company’s consistent application of HSE principles in an integrated and sustainable manner across all operational lines.
Operations Director of Danone Specialized Nutrition Indonesia, Endri Suprianto, stated that HSE implementation at the company is carried out comprehensively across the entire operational chain, with particular focus on factory floor activities as the centre of manufacturing processes.
According to him, the company strengthens safety culture through various approaches, ranging from routine employee training, monitoring compliance with workplace safety standards, to ensuring readiness of safety infrastructure in production areas.
Additionally, the company promotes active employee involvement in identifying and managing potential risks on the production floor. This approach is complemented by occupational health management, environmental monitoring, and a monitoring system that supports consistent operational discipline.
“HSE implementation functions not only as a protection measure for employees, but also as a foundation for operational governance that ensures production processes run safely, stably, and sustainably,” he stated in an official statement on Saturday, 14 March.
Endri added that the commitment to HSE aligns with the Danone Impact Journey initiative, which places sustainability as part of the company’s business strategy. This approach focuses not only on products but also on the protection and empowerment of those involved in the production process.
Going forward, Sarihusada plans to continue strengthening HSE implementation as part of the company’s workplace culture and operational governance. This effort is expected to support the company in delivering quality nutrition whilst contributing positively to the health and safety of employees, consumers, and society.
Previously, in 2025, Sarihusada received the Indonesia Best HSE Implementation award in the manufacturing category with a ‘Very Good’ rating. This series of achievements reflects the company’s long-term commitment to building a consistent culture of safety, occupational health, and environmental protection in its operational environment.
