PT BRI Asurani Indonesia (BRI Insurance) has once again demonstrated its commitment to providing protection and certainty to its customers through the payment of an insurance claim valued at Rp 1,448,463,852.

The Branch Manager of BRI Insurance Medan, Deny M. Siregar, explained that the claim is a benefit from the Indonesian Standard Fire Insurance Policy (PSAKI), following a fire incident caused by electrical installation failure.

He stated that the payment of the claim and the symbolic handover are expected to increase public understanding regarding the importance of insurance as an instrument for asset protection.

“With this claim payment and symbolic handover, we hope that more members of the public will become insurance-literate, so that the benefits of insurance can be felt by various layers of society,” Deny said in a statement on Wednesday, 2 September 2026.

The symbolic handover of the claim took place on 26 August 2026, at the BRI Insurance Medan Branch Office. The handover was conducted by BRI Insurance representatives, including the Deputy, Claims JTL, and Relationship Manager (RM), to Regon, the claim recipient.

Regon, the recipient of the claim, expressed his appreciation to BRI Insurance for the settlement and payment provided. He expressed hope that BRI Insurance would continue to grow and gain further trust from the public.

“I hope that in the future, BRI Insurance will continue to advance and remain trusted by the community. The true measure of an insurance company is its performance during the claims process, so we hope more people will insure their assets with BRI Insurance,” he said.

When confirmed, the President Director of BRI Insurance, Budi Legowo, expressed his condolences regarding the misfortune that befell the customer. He hoped that the delivered claim payment could alleviate the customer’s burden and that, moving forward, more people would develop the awareness to protect their assets through insurance.

“This protection covers not only property assets but also various other needs such as oil palm plantations, motor vehicles, and housing,” he added.

The fire incident that formed the basis of the claim caused losses to the insured assets. Through the claim handling and settlement process, BRI Insurance provided protection benefits in accordance with the applicable policy terms.

This claim payment is part of the company’s efforts to ensure that customers receive support when facing risks that could disrupt the continuity and condition of their owned assets.
