Commission XIII Approves BPIP 2027 Budget at Rp306 Billion
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The House of Representatives (DPR RI) Commission XIII has approved the budget ceiling for the Agency for Pancasila Ideology Development (BPIP) for the 2027 Fiscal Year at Rp306.069 billion, an increase of Rp25 billion from the initial allocation of Rp281.069 billion.
The Chairman of Commission XIII, Willy Aditya, stated that the budget increase is the result of adjustments and discussions aimed at supporting the implementation of BPIP’s duties in 2027.
“Commission XIII of the DPR RI has approved the results of the budget ceiling discussions for the Agency for Pancasila Ideology Development for the 2027 Fiscal Year, which was originally Rp281,070,000,000, with an additional budget of Rp25,000,000,000, bringing the BPIP 2027 Budget Ceiling to Rp306,069,079,000,” said Willy while reading the conclusions of a hearing involving Commission XIII, Komnas HAM, and Komnas Perempuan, held online in Jakarta on Wednesday.
In addition to approving this ceiling, Commission XIII also approved BPIP’s proposal for an additional budget of Rp107.025 billion for the 202lar Fiscal Year.
Willy noted that the results of these budget discussions will subsequently be submitted to the DPR RI Budget Committee and the government as part of the process for establishing the 2027 State Budget (APBN) Law.
Commission XIII also requested further in-depth discussions with BPIP to ensure that the programmes and activities funded by this budget align with national policy directions, while simultaneously guaranteeing the effectiveness of budget allocation and the accountability of the agency’s duties.
“Commission XIII of the DPR RI considers it necessary to conduct further in-depth studies with the Agency for Pancasila Ideology Development, as the implementer of Commission XIII’s supervisory function, to ensure the synchronisation of programmes and activities with national policy directions, as well as to guarantee the effectiveness of budget allocation and the accountability of duties and functions in the 2027 Fiscal Year,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of BPIP, Yudian Wahyudi, stated that the additional Rp25 billion will be primarily directed towards strengthening the Pancasila Ideology Development Programme.
During the meeting, BPIP also proposed an additional budget of Rp107.025 billion. Following discussions with the DPR RI Budget Committee, BPIP received an additional Rp25 billion, which represents approximately 23 per cent of its proposed increase.
BPIP plans to allocate approximately Rp20 billion, or 80 per cent of this addition, to the Pancasila Ideology Development Programme, while Rp5 billion, or 20 per cent, will be used for the Management Support Programme.
Yudian explained that the additional budget for Pancasila ideology development will be used to strengthen inter-institutional relations, socialisation, communication, and networking.
The budget is also directed towards facilitating and fostering the mainstreaming of Pancasila values and cultivating the movement of Pancasila virtue volunteers.
With this addition, the total 2027 BPIP budget consists of Rp142.46 billion for the Pancasila Ideology Development Programme and Rp163.609 billion for the Management Support Programme.
Yudian noted that the larger portion for management support is primarily due to mandatory allocations for salaries, allowances, and office operations amounting to Rp131.069 billion, or 43 per cent of the total ceiling.
Meanwhile, Rp32.457 billion is allocated for internal and external services and institutional strengthening, including human resource development, asset management, public information transparency, public relations, information technology development, performance accountability, the Legal Documentation and Information Network (JDIH), bureaucratic reform, and supervision.
Following the approval of the additional budget, Yudian will submit a written proposal for the 2027 budget allocation.
In addition to the budget, Yudin expressed hope that the discussion of the BPIP Bill, which is included in the 2026 Priority National Legislative Programme (Prolegnas), will provide legal certainty for the execution of BPIP’s duties.
“This will provide legal certainty for BPIP to coordinate Pancasila development, whether in the form of socialisation, internalisation, or the institutionalisation of Pancasila development in a massive, collaborative, and sustainable manner, so that the actualisation of Pancasila values in community, national, and state life can be realised,” he said.
