Commission XI Explains Reasons for Accelerated Selection of OJK Commissioners
The chairman of Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR), Mukhamad Misbakhun, has explained the reasons for accelerating the selection process for candidates to the Board of Commissioners (ADK) of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Misbakhun stated that the selection process was indeed faster than the schedule originally determined by the selection committee (pansel).
According to Misbakhun, the acceleration was carried out to provide certainty to the market. βThe timeline was indeed planned by the selection committee, but subsequently acceleration efforts were undertaken, so that in order to provide a response and certainty to the market, we could give a positive signal that we are taking sufficiently responsive measures,β Misbakhun told reporters at the DPR Complex on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
Commission XI selected five Board of Commissioners members of the OJK through a fitness and propriety assessment on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. The five selected commissioners are Friderica Widyasari Dewi as Board Chairman; Hernawan Bekti Sasongko as Vice Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners; Hasan Fawzi selected as Head of the Executive Capital Markets, Financial Derivatives, and Carbon Exchange Supervisory Division; Adi Budiarso as Head of the Executive Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets Supervisory Division; and Dicky Kartikoyono as Head of the Executive Supervisory Division for Financial Services Business Operator Conduct, Education, and Consumer Protection.
The implementation of this fitness and propriety assessment came earlier than the schedule set by the selection committee. The announcement was signed by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa in his capacity as committee chairman.

Meanwhile, interviews were to be conducted from Wednesday, 25 March through Thursday, 26 March 2026. The announcement also stated that 20 candidates had passed the administrative selection.
The fitness and propriety assessment was held after the DPR leadership received a letter from President Prabowo on Monday, 9 March 2026. Misbakhun stated that the selected names would be brought to a plenary session on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
