Jakarta — Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives has urged Sukabumi Police Chief Samian to investigate gangsters associated with the father (NS), Anwar Satibi.

This follows threats received by NS’s biological mother, Lisnawati, after reporting her ex-husband to the authorities.

NS died at the age of 12 after suffering violence from his stepmother and biological father.

Initially, the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) disclosed the background of NS’s father during a general hearing session (RDPU) with Commission III of the House of Representatives, the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), and the Nizam family at the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Monday (2 March 2026).

“We also informed that this former husband of Mrs Lisna happens to be a gang member,” said LPSK Deputy Head Sri Suparyati during the session on Monday.

Moreover, Sri noted that domestic violence against her client appears to have been ongoing since the victim was a small child.

The victim had been burned with cigarettes, drenched with water, and even dunked into a bathtub.

“In my view, this also warrants further attention from the police leadership, particularly given the connection to the threats that Ms Lisna has frequently received,” she stated.

In response, Commission III Chair Habiburokhman requested that the Sukabumi Police Chief, who was present at the meeting, guarantee Lisnawati’s security.

Habiburokhman also called for further investigation into the gangsters involved.

Previously, it was reported that NS (12), a child from Bojongsari, Jampang Kulon, Sukabumi District, died on 19 February 2026 at Jampangkulon General Hospital.

When brought to hospital, the victim’s body was covered in bruises and blistered injuries resembling burn wounds.

Before dying, NS provided an account to medical personnel and police that was recorded in viral video footage.
