Jakarta — The House of Representatives’ Commission III and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) have requested that Sukabumi Police initially reject any counter-report filed against the biological mother of NS, a 13-year-old child who allegedly died from physical abuse inflicted by her stepmother and biological father.

Counter-reports are frequently filed by those being accused, in this case the stepmother and biological father of the victim.

The biological mother, Lisnawati, has already filed a report against the biological father and her former husband at Sukabumi Police.

The request was conveyed by LPSK and Commission III during a General Hearing Session with the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) and the victim’s family at Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Monday, 2 March 2026.

LPSK requested that the counter-report be set aside initially, hoping that police would investigate the report filed by the victim’s biological mother first.

“Perhaps the Sukabumi Police Chief can anticipate by setting aside the counter-report for now, prioritising this one first,” stated the LPSK representative.

Furthermore, officials requested that case development proceed urgently, having learnt that Lisnawati herself was previously a victim of domestic violence from her own husband.

“I agree with this approach. Case development should be expedited against the biological parents, the father,” said one official.

“Don’t delay it, reject it. Guarantee it. Don’t create further complications. Reject it,” added Habiburokhman.

“So when a counter-report is filed later, reject it first. We can’t have ongoing cases like this. We must not see a second Sleman incident. Criminals reporting their victims,” he further stressed.

For context, police have already received three reports related to this case.

Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Samian stated that the stepmother is listed as the accused in two reports filed by the biological father Anwar Satibi (AS). Meanwhile, the biological father is listed as the accused in one report filed by the legal representative of the victim’s biological mother.

Currently, police are awaiting the presence of Lisnawati and her legal representative for questioning.
