Commercial Sector Becomes Key to Indonesia's Automotive Growth
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chairman of the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), Putu Juli Ardika, stated that the automotive industry in the commercial sector is the key to the growth of the national automotive industry. “The automotive industry in the commercial segment is the key to the growth of this industry in the country. Indeed, it cannot be separated from the role of the motor vehicle industry, especially commercial ones,” said Putu Juli Ardika at the opening of the GIICOMVEC 2026 event, JIEXPO, Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Wednesday. The commercial sector is a vital industry in connecting various businesses in the country. Thus, various needs of the community remain maintained and it also becomes the driving force for the national logistics industry. “Nevertheless, the Indonesian automotive industry is not free from various challenges that still need to be addressed,” he said. Nevertheless, the commercial sector continues to receive greater attention from the global market. “This shows that the Indonesian manufacturing industry is already recognised internationally. Clear evidence that our automotive industry already meets world standards,” he explained. The GIICOMVEC 2026 exhibition is hoped to become a bridge for the growth of the national automotive industry. This event will be held from 8 to 11 April 2026 at JIExpo, Central Jakarta.
