Commendable service
Commendable service
I am Frank James Fosdahl, a U.S. citizen. Herewith, I would
like express my gratitude to the head of the Central Java Police
for the services I received from three policemen at the police
station in Sidoharjo, Seragen Regency. They are Bambang S., I Ny.
Kanta and Suwardi.
On Dec. 22, 1995, at about 11:00 p.m. on my way home from
Seragen to Solo in Central Java, my car stalled. The battery was
completely dead. This forced me to walk not less than six
kilometers eastward back to Seragen. I got to the police station
and asked the three policemen for help. To my delight they served
me far better than I had expected. They got a service man to tow
my car to the police station for safety. A drink was offered to
me, and they showed me to the Wartel office so I could give my
wife a call. She was extremely glad that I was OK. They served me
nicely without expecting anything in return.
I greatly appreciate their deed which is highly commendable.
They have shown themselves true public servants.
