Commemorating Prophet's Birthday, Rombsis Distributes Aid to NTT and Palestine
The Rombsis Indonesia Humanitarian Foundation has distributed humanitarian aid to communities affected by disasters in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and the people of Palestine. The total aid, valued at Rp250 million, was distributed in conjunction with the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday in South Jakarta on Sunday (30/08/2026).
The General Chairperson of Rombsis Indonesia, Andi Idhanursanty, stated that the aid originated from PT Kartika Cipta Indonesia and was provided in the form of basic necessities for the affected populations.
“The aid for disaster victims in NTT includes 1,000 blankets, 1,000 towels, and 1,000 sarongs,” said Idhanursanty in South Jakarta.
Idhanursanty added that Rombsis Indonesia also distributed aid to the Palestinian people during the Prophet’s Birthday momentum. This assistance also consisted of 1,000 blankets, 1,000 towels, and 1,000 sarongs.
He noted that the event also included the recitation of prayers (selawat) and supplications for the disaster victims in NTT and the people of Palestine. “We also pray for Palestine, that the Palestinian people may be freed from attacks from Israel,” he said.
The Head of the NTT Provincial Regional Liaison Agency, Florida Taty Satyawati, representing the Governor and the people of NTT, expressed gratitude for the aid provided by Rombsis Indonesia.
“I am certain that this aid will be very useful for our people affected in Flores, as it is currently the cold season,” said Florida.
Florida mentioned that weather conditions in NTT can feel hot during the day but cold during the night and morning. She ensured that the aid would be delivered to the communities in need.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdalfatah A.K. Al-Sattari, appreciated the support of the Indonesian people for Palestine.
“I am happy to attend events like this because I know how great the support of the Indonesian people is for Palestine, and that they stand by our side,” said Abdalfatah.
Abdalfatah stated that the support from the Indonesian people provides a moral boost to the Palestinian people who continue to face difficult situations. He also expressed his hope that once Palestine achieves independence, the Indonesian people will be able to visit Palestine to worship at various holy sites.
The commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday organised by Rombsis Indonesia was also attended by Ustaz Das’ad Latif, who delivered a religious sermon.
