Commemorating Pancasila Day: Strengthening National Unity and Ideological Resolve
The 2026 Pancasila Day commemoration at Karawang Regency Government Plaza on Monday (1/6) served as a critical moment to reinforce national spirit, unity, and societal commitment to implementing Pancasila’s values amid national challenges. Karawang Regent Aep Saepulloh stated that Pancasila is not merely the state foundation but the primary force uniting Indonesia’s diversity, especially amid global dynamics, technological advances, and social challenges. He added that Pancasila remains relevant for preserving national integrity, fostering tolerance, and achieving equitable development. Karawang Police Chief AKBP Fiki N. Ardiansyah highlighted the police’s commitment to upholding Pancasila’s values, with mutual cooperation, unity, and service to the nation as core principles. He noted the event was orderly and conducive, urging collective awareness to maintain unity, strengthen national character, and use Pancasila as a guide for a prosperous, sovereign Indonesia. Farhan and Fadli Zon emphasised the importance of youth embracing Pancasila as a living ideology, while addressing the current challenge of ensuring Pancasila’s values permeate societal behaviour, governance, and daily life. Students from SRMP 18 West Lombok participated in assembling Garuda Pancasila puzzles during the commemoration.
