Commemorating Hardiknas 2026, Bank Mandiri Distributes 2,800 Book and School Bag Packages

PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk has distributed more than 2,800 aid packages consisting of books and school bags to primary school, junior high school, and senior high school students or their equivalents in several cities and regencies across Indonesia. This distribution was carried out to commemorate National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026 through the Mandiri Peduli Sekolah programme. The recipient areas include Rantau Parapat, Palembang, Depok, Bogor, Bandung, Balikpapan, Keerom Regency, and other cities. The programme is titled “Buku Mandiri untuk Negeri”. Bank Mandiri Corporate Secretary Adhika Vista stated that this programme reflects the company’s sustainable commitment to promoting improvements in national education quality. “Bank Mandiri believes that access to adequate educational facilities is an important foundation in creating superior human resources (HR),” said Adhika in an official statement received by Kompas.com on Saturday (9/5/2026). Each distributed package is equipped with learning support materials, such as notebooks and writing instruments, to optimally support students’ learning activities. As part of the Mandiri Peduli Sekolah programme series, in March 2026 Bank Mandiri also distributed 2,000 school packages in Lombok. This programme complements various Bank Mandiri initiatives in the education sector that have been carried out sustainably. To create a comfortable learning environment, Bank Mandiri has renovated 27 schools in 27 cities and regencies in Indonesia. In the field of human resource development, Bank Mandiri has awarded 267 scholarships to university students in Indonesia. This step is part of the commitment to sustainably creating superior generations. Bank Mandiri has also distributed more than 26,000 school bag packages on various occasions. The aid includes distribution to disaster-affected areas in Sumatra, the 2026 Ramadan programme, and distributions in several operational regions.
