Commemorating Bung Karno Month, Ineu Purwadewi Holds Culinary Training
To commemorate Bung Karno Month, a community training programme was held in the Ciater area of Subang recently. The initiative was organised by Ineu Purwadewi Sundari, head of the PDI Perjuangan faction in the West Java Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), in collaboration with the Mandiri Job Training Centre (BLK) under the Manpower and Transmigration Office. The training covered two vocational fields simultaneously: culinary arts and basic electric welding. Ineu expressed hope that through this programme, the people of Subang, particularly young people and job seekers, could enhance their competence and skills, making them better prepared to enter the workforce. The culinary training is expected to open up business opportunities in the food sector, while the basic electric welding course provides technical skills that are in high demand across industries. “We want to make a real contribution to improving human resources in West Java while commemorating the spirit of Bung Karno, who always encouraged national progress through people’s empowerment,” said Ineu, who represents the West Java XI electoral district covering Sumedang, Majalengka, and Subang regencies. Dozens of enthusiastic participants took part in all the theory and practical sessions. With adequate facilities from BLK Mandiri, participants not only received theoretical knowledge but also engaged in hands-on fieldwork, so they are expected to be able to immediately apply what they have learned. “This training is one form of the PDI Perjuangan faction’s concern for improving the quality of the regional workforce,” Ineu added.
