General Agus Subiyanto, Commander-in-Chief of the TNI, has promoted two Commanders of the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Dansatgas PKH) in a decision decree on military reassignments in early February 2026, according to reports received by Republika. Dansatgas PKH Garuda Dody Triwinarto is to assume the position of Military Regional Commander (Pangdam) XV/Pattimura, whilst Dansatgas PKH Halilintar Major General Febriel Buyung Sikumbang becomes Military Regional Commander (Pangdam) XVII/Cenderawasih.
Task Force Garuda has been responsible for combating illegal palm plantation operations within forest areas, whilst Task Force Halilintar has had authority to shut down unauthorised mining operations in forest zones. The Forest Area Enforcement Task Force was established during President Prabowo Subianto’s administration, commanded by the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) with support from the National Police (Polri), TNI, and relevant technical ministries.
As Pangdam Pattimura, Dody will succeed Major General Putranto Gatot Sri Handoyo. For the Cenderawasih position, Febriel fills the vacancy left by Major General Amrin Ibrahim, who has been reassigned to the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas).
