Commander of the XXIV/Mandala Trikora Military Region, Major General TNI Frits Wilem Rizard Pelamonia, has denied allegations of the abduction of Yasinta Moiwend, also known as Mama Sinta. Mama Sinta gained prominence after appearing in a documentary film.

Frits assured that the information circulating among the public does not align with the facts on the ground. He stated that there was no coercion involved in Mama Yasinta’s departure to Jakarta.

“I guarantee it was not an act by the TNI. There was no abduction as widely reported,” Frits said in a statement on Thursday (11/6/2026).

Frits explained that the primary clarification actually came from Mama Yasinta herself, as the person who directly experienced the event. He noted that by her own admission, there was no coercion or kidnapping.

“The one who experienced it was Mama Yasinta. And her admission is clear, there was no abduction. She is safe and healthy,” Frits stated.
