Commander Appoints New Officials in the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI)

The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Agus Subiyanto, presided over a handover ceremony and the swearing-in of several strategic officials at the TNI Headquarters. The ceremony took place at the Gatot Subroto Hall, TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Thursday, 21 May 2026.

In a press release issued by the TNI Information Center, one of the officers sworn in was Brigadier General Muhammad Nas, who became Head of the TNI Information Center. Muhammad Nas succeeds Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, who had filled the post since 25 December 2025.

Additionally, Admiral Donny Suharto relinquished his post as Head of the Centre for International Cooperation to Colonel Infantry Perry Sandhi Sitompul. The Head of the Information and Data Processing Centre (Kapusinfolahta) changed from Brigadier General Wawan Pujiatmoko to Brigadier General Heldi Wira, and the post of Head of the Operations Control Centre (Kapusdalops) was handed from Brigadier General Hendri Wijaya to Colonel Infantry Lukman Hakim.

Colonel (Navy) Agung Saptoadi, Head of Public Information at the TNI Information Center, said that handovers within the TNI are part of an organisational and personnel development mechanism to safeguard leadership continuity and improve the effectiveness of military duties. The rotation also aims to enhance the effectiveness of carrying out military tasks. “Through continuous leadership regeneration, it is hoped that every unit can keep adapting to the dynamics of duties and evolving strategic challenges,” he said.
