Three TNI soldiers serving in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeeping mission have been killed, and three more were recently reported injured due to attacks. TNI Chief General Agus Subiyanto has instructed TNI personnel in Lebanon to remain inside bunkers.

This was conveyed by General Agus during a video call with the Commander of the Yonmek XXIII-S/UNIFIL Task Force in Lebanon. The video call moment was shared on his personal Instagram account.

“Maintain the morale of the soldiers there, continue carrying out international security duties, enter the bunkers, and no more outdoor activities, and keep the soldiers’ morale high so they remain enthusiastic. Thank you. Keep up the good work,” said Agus during the briefing, as seen on his personal IG on Saturday (4/4/2026).

The Commander of the Yonmek XXIII-S/UNIFIL Task Force was heard responding to Agus’s orders. He said he and the TNI soldiers would carry out Agus’s instructions.

“Ready to implement, Chief,” he said.

“Stay enthusiastic,” Agus replied.

“Thank you for the guidance; we convey the Chief’s greetings to all soldiers, ready,” responded the Commander of the Yonmek XXIII-S/UNIFIL Task Force.

In his post, Agus stated that the top priority now is to ensure that soldiers in southern Lebanon remain safe and protected while carrying out their duties. He also prayed for the TNI soldiers on duty.

“May all soldiers always be under the protection of Allah SWT, the Almighty God, granted strength and steadfastness in every step of service. Our prayers accompany every step you take,” Agus wrote in the caption of the video call post.
