Jakarta – Pegadaian has once again demonstrated its commitment to serving the community by dispatching more than 4,000 travellers from various regions across Indonesia through the “Comfortable Journey with Pegadaian” programme. The initiative aims to enable the public to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families through safe and comfortable travel.

The homecoming programme is being carried out during Ramadan 1447H and represents one form of implementing Pegadaian’s philosophy of “Always Being Present”, where the company not only provides financial services to the community, but also serves wholeheartedly and contributes towards delivering tangible social benefits to the wider public.

Pegadaian participated in the flag-off ceremony for the “Comfortable Journey Together Danantara 2026” programme, which was held simultaneously on 17 March 2026 at Gelora Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta. The event was attended by Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Body and Chief Operating Officer of BPI Danantara, Dony Oskaria, Vice-Military Commander Major General Suhardi, and Head of the Traffic Police Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, demonstrating state enterprise synergy in delivering the homecoming programme for Indonesian citizens.

Pegadaian’s Chief Executive, Damar Latri Setiawan, stated that returning home is an important tradition for Indonesian society, laden with values of togetherness and kinship. “Through the Comfortable Journey with Pegadaian programme, we want to ensure that the community can return to their hometowns safely and comfortably. Pegadaian wishes to be present not merely as a financial institution, but also as a friend of the community who supports their journey to reunite with family,” said Damar.

To ensure that the journey proceeds safely and comfortably, Pegadaian has provided various transport modes for programme participants, ranging from executive buses through collaboration with state enterprise Aerotrans as the land transport provider, trains, and sea transport according to each participant’s travel route. Additionally, participants receive various supporting facilities such as health checks before departure, a homecoming kit, and support throughout the departure process.

Pegadaian has also ensured that the community can continue accessing the company’s services during the Ramadan and homecoming season. Through the Tring application, the public can access various Pegadaian services digitally, ranging from pawning transactions to other payments, ensuring that Pegadaian’s services remain accessible at any time and from anywhere.
