Comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono is scheduled to undergo further questioning by investigators from the Cybercrime Investigation Directorate of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Body (Bareskrim) on Monday, 9 March 2026.

The interrogation concerns a complaint alleging insult to the Toraja ethnic group. Investigators have confirmed that the questioning agenda remains on schedule.

Head of the First Subdirectorate of the Cybercrime Investigation Directorate at Bareskrim, Senior Police Commissioner Rizki Agung Prakoso, stated that there have been no changes to the schedule for Pandji’s interrogation.

“The interrogation of Pandji Pragiwaksono remains scheduled,” Rizki said.

Pandji has already undergone Toraja customary justice proceedings. He has been ordered to issue a formal apology and provide sacrificial offerings consisting of one pig and five chickens.

The customary trial took place at Tongkonan Layuk Kaero, Sangalla, Tana Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi, on Tuesday, 10 February 2026. The customary court proceedings were conducted solemnly and involved representatives from 32 Toraja customary regions.

Pandji attended the proceedings in person, accompanied by his lawyer, Haris Azhar. The process was facilitated by the Alliance of Indigenous Peoples of the Archipelago (AMAN) as part of the customary dispute resolution mechanism.

During the proceedings, a Toraja customary leader explained that the sanctions imposed were part of a ritual apology to ancestors and the customary community.

“The complement to the ritual of apology to our ancestors is one pig and five chickens,” stated one of the customary leaders presiding over the proceedings, as quoted from the Instagram account @infotoraja on Wednesday, 11 February 2026.

For context, the interrogation of comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono by Bareskrim investigators represents a new chapter in the dispute over alleged insult to the Toraja ethnic group.

On Monday, 2 February 2026, Pandji visited the Bareskrim Police headquarters in South Jakarta to undergo questioning as a witness-respondent in the complaint.

During the interrogation, Pandji stated that he was asked approximately 48 questions, all relating to his stand-up comedy material that had been contested.

“48 questions were put to me. All concerning my stand-up material and content in my videos,” Pandji said after the questioning.

Pandji stated that he chose to be cooperative and comply with all ongoing legal proceedings. He emphasised that he is not avoiding the interrogation and is ready to provide statements as required by the investigators.
