Comedian Eko to marry Viona

JAKARTA: Comedian Eko Henro Purnomo, better known as Eko
Patrio, will marry 22-year-old sinetron star Viona Rosalina in a
traditional wedding ceremony at the At-Tien Mosque, at the Taman
Mini complex, East Jakarta on Oct. 12.

The reception will take place on Oct. 26 at Balai Sudirman,
South Jakarta, at 7 p.m. and will be attended by 4,000 guests.

Eko will hand over 43 grams of white gold, a package of
praying equipment and several circulated rupiah money to fulfill
the prerequisites of Islamic marriage.

Bridal beautician Tien Santoso, who is popular among local
celebrities, will makeup Eko and Viona in accordance with East
Java tradition, Eko's origin.

Tien urged the couple to fast every Monday and Thursday or
three days before the wedding day. She also hoped Eko would like
to fast at least a day if he's too busy.

Famous designer Adji Notonegoro will provide specially
designed wedding costumes for both Eko and Viona, with Central
Java and East Java designs for the ceremony and reception
respectively.

Eko, who looked happy during the press conference, said
privately-run TPI channel will broadcast his wedding ceremony and
reception for one-hour on Nov. 3 from 8.30 p.m. -- JP
