Come and See the Excitement of the Peak Digital Connectivity Appreciation 2026!
detikcom is hosting the peak of the Digital Connectivity Appreciation 2026. Held today at 19:00 WIB, the Digital Connectivity Appreciation serves as a platform to recognise individuals, communities, and institutions that have made real contributions to expanding technology access in 3T regions.
This programme stems from the awareness that equitable digital connectivity is not solely the government’s responsibility. There are many ‘nation connectors’ working without the spotlight, from digital literacy volunteers in villages to communities driving the creative economy, with tangible impacts.
The selection process was not done haphazardly. Nomination registrations were open from 15 November 2025 to 28 February 2026, inviting the public to nominate deserving names. From hundreds of submissions received, selected candidates from various sectors entered the judging stage.
detikcom’s Managing Editor and Head of Media Researcher, Irwan Nugroho, emphasised that the team deployed contributors and journalists to the regions to ensure the data provided by participants was truly factual.
The categories contested cover diverse roles in the digital ecosystem. From the local government side, there are Province Driving Digital Economy, Province Supporting Digital Connectivity Acceleration, Regency Pioneering Digital MSMEs, and Outstanding Digital Village.
From the public services sector, categories include Innovative Village-Owned Enterprises in Digital Business, Innovative Health Centre in Healthcare Service Digitalisation, Exemplary Digital School, and Defence Post Supporting Digital Connectivity.
Meanwhile, three other categories target individuals: Digital Literacy Activist in the Village, Internet Warrior Entering the Village, and Creative Local Content Creator. There are also two community categories: Community Supporting Digital Creative Economy and Community Driving Internet for the People.
It is the stories from these nominees that will be the main highlight of the awarding night. Stories of dedication and innovation born from the grassroots, far from media spotlight, yet truly changing the lives of surrounding communities.
