Combined personnel secure Eid al-Fitr holiday across Thousand Islands
Jakarta — Hundreds of combined security personnel have been deployed in the centralised Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026 to ensure the security of Eid al-Fitr holiday celebrations (1447 Hijriah) across the Thousand Islands.
“This personnel parade represents the readiness of all security elements in providing a sense of safety and comfort to the community during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations,” said AKBP Argadija Putra, Police Chief of Thousand Islands, whilst leading the personnel parade at the Thousand Islands Police Station on Thursday.
Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026 involves 201 combined personnel comprising 65 members from the National Police (Polri), 10 military personnel (TNI), 44 Civil Protection officers (Satpol PP), and 15 health department officials.
The operation also includes 24 transportation department personnel, 12 firefighters, and 31 members from the Community Early Warning Forum (FKDM).
“This operation represents Polri’s commitment together with the military, local government, and all stakeholders in providing maximum security to the community celebrating Eid al-Fitr, including the activities of residents and tourists in the Thousand Islands region,” he stated.
AKBP Argadija emphasised to all personnel involved that they must carry out their duties with full responsibility and enhance inter-agency coordination to provide the best service to the community.
With the synergy of all elements involved, he said, it is hoped that the security and order situation in the Thousand Islands during the Eid al-Fitr holiday will run safely, smoothly, and harmoniously.
