Collision at Bekasi Timur Station Halts Train Services at Jatinegara

A collision between a long-distance train and a KRL occurred at Bekasi Timur Station. As a result, train services at Jatinegara Station were halted. Observations at Jatinegara Station on Monday (27/4/2026) at 22:00 WIB showed three trains delayed, two of which were commuter line trains and one long-distance train, Purwajaya, on the Gambir-Cilacap route. The trains began to be held since 21:18 WIB. The trains could not be dispatched due to the train collision incident at Bekasi Timur. Several commuter line passengers were seen getting off onto the platform. Some of them chose to alight at Jatinegara, while others remained on the train. It is known that the long-distance train collided with a KAI Commuter Line (KRL) train at Bekasi Timur Station, Bekasi City, this evening. Currently, passengers are scattered on the station platform after being shocked by the incident. In a received video, the station situation is crowded with passengers. Fellow passengers are helping each other with the evacuation process on the platform. There are passengers sleeping and sitting on the platform after experiencing the event. There are passengers bandaging head wounds using towels. The KRL train that was hit is still on the side of the platform. The KRL doors are open and the lights are off.
