Collaboration Provides Mass Circumcision Services for Hundreds of Underprivileged Children
Around 700 children participated in a mass circumcision event organised by Pakuwon Group in collaboration with EMC Healthcare and the Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP). The mass circumcision for children aged 5 to 12 years began on Tuesday morning (16/6/2026) at The Kasablanka Hall, Jakarta.
The social initiative involved approximately 120 doctors from EMC Healthcare and the Indonesian Circumcision Doctors Association (Asdoki), supported by 90 nurses, to provide safe and comfortable circumcision services for the participants.
YPP Chairperson, who is also a Director at Emtek Media, Komjen Pol (Ret.) Imam Sudjarwo, stated that the programme is part of corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts to assist children, particularly those from underprivileged families, in undergoing circumcision with adequate healthcare services. He noted that the participation of around 700 children was a significant number. “This is not a small number. What is even more special is that nearly 700 children could be treated in a single day with the support of 120 doctors and nurses,” Imam said.
On the same occasion, EMC Healthcare President Director Jusup Halimi emphasised that EMC Healthcare places great attention on patient safety during the mass circumcision. He stated that patient safety is the top priority, ensuring every child receives safe and quality care. “We want to ensure patient safety is maintained, so children feel comfortable and have no problems after being circumcised,” he said.
Jusup also highlighted the psychological condition of the children during the procedure. “We pay attention not only to the medical aspects but also to the children’s psychological condition so that the circumcision experience goes well,” Jusup added. He expressed appreciation for all parties involved, stating that the success of the mass circumcision for nearly 700 children was the result of good collaboration and cooperation among various parties. “We hope collaborations like this can continue so that more people can benefit,” he said.
Pakuwon Group President Director Alexander Stefanus Ridwan revealed that the success of the mass circumcision was inseparable from the support of hundreds of people involved. According to him, more than 300 people took part in the activity, including doctors, nurses, and non-medical staff. Ridwan assessed that the event proved that collaboration among various parties can produce a greater impact for the community. “We counted that more than 300 people were involved in this activity. This shows excellent collaboration. By working together, the results achieved are far greater than if done individually,” said Ridwan. He also appreciated the efforts of all parties in creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for the participants. In addition to receiving circumcision services, the children also received medicines, gifts, and various supporting facilities that made them happier after the procedure.
