Yayasan Indonesia Setara (YIS) together with OK OCE FOREVER Sumatera Barat (OOF Sumbar) distributed free staple food to underprivileged communities, widows, the poor, and UMKM in Jorong Patai, Nagari Padang Magek, Tanah Datar, West Sumatra, some time ago. A total of 100 staple food packages were distributed, including 3 kilograms of premium rice, 1 litre of cooking oil, 1 bottle of syrup, and 0.5 kilograms of granulated sugar.

Founder of YIS, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, stated that this activity was carried out as a form of concern for the community, especially the underprivileged, widows, the poor, and UMKM. He added that the purpose of the activity was not only to share, but also to foster a sense of care for others while strengthening ties.

“In truth, part of our wealth belongs to them (the underprivileged and orphans). Therefore, it is only right that we share, especially in this Syawal month,” Sandiaga said in a written statement on Tuesday (24/3).

Separately, the Chairman of OOF Sumbar, Dodi, expressed thanks to Sandiaga Uno and YIS for their full support of the Ramadan Cares programme, Sharing Staple Food, Sharing Blessings for the residents of Jorong Patai. This aid, he continued, is very much needed by the community, given the increase in staple food prices since Ramadan until Eid.

“Seeing the enthusiasm of the community, we as the implementers of the activity and as the extended hand of YIS also feel what the community feels. For Mr Sandiaga Uno and family, may his charitable deeds be accepted and rewarded manifold, and all affairs be made easy. Amen,” said Dodi.

Appreciation was also expressed by the beneficiaries, including Aldefi, who felt helped by the provided staple food aid.

“Alhamdulillah, O Allah, this programme is very much needed, very helpful to us. May Mr Sandi Uno be granted ease and his charitable deeds be rewarded manifold. Amen,” said Aldefi.

The same sentiment was expressed by housewife Fitri and Mona. Both expressed thanks for the staple food aid that has been given to the community.

“Thank you, Mr Sandi Uno, for the assistance, may you and your family always be under His protection and granted continuous health. Amen,” said Fitri.

“Alhamdulillah, these are programmes that are very beneficial for the community. We pray that Mr Sandi Uno and family and the Yayasan Indonesia Setara management are always granted ease. Amen,” stated Mona.
