Karawang (ANTARA) - Corporate Secretary & Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, assessed that evaluations to aid smoothness during the mudik and return flow periods for Lebaran 2026 were also driven by cross-sector collaboration and road user compliance.

Cross-sector collaboration involved Jasa Marga Group through Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, the police, as well as the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Public Works.

“We see that the evaluation from year to year is indeed getting better, and the improvement comes from collaboration. But the most important thing is how road users are so aware and receive complete information,” said Ria to ANTARA at the Jasamarga Cikampek Utama Toll Gate Office, Karawang, West Java, on Saturday night.

“Thus, their journey is safe and smooth. Up to now, we have been informed that the accident rate has also decreased. So this shows the extraordinary cooperation from road users who follow the mudik and return flow this year,” Ria stated.

Ria also assessed that policies on toll fee discounts and traffic engineering were deemed effective in reducing density during the mudik and return flow periods for Lebaran 2026.

“Yes, that’s right, so from the policy side of WFA and the implementation of toll fee discounts given on non-peak days,” she added.

Furthermore, Ria conveyed that during the return flow, the main challenges that arose were related to vehicle readiness, where there were records of some disruptions, such as vehicles stopping on the roadside up to three-axle vehicles.

“Indeed, these notes become our evaluation this year, and we have also anticipated them by providing rest area information, collaboration with the police to open and close some rest areas that have the potential to create queues disrupting the mudik and return flow lanes,” she added.
