Coffin of Former Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu Departs from RSPAD

The coffin of former Defence Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu was transported from the RSPAD Gatot Soebroto morgue in Central Jakarta following his death at the facility. Detikcom observed at the scene on Sunday (31 May 2026) that Ryamizard Ryacudu’s coffin was placed into the hearse at 15:52 WIB. The coffin was draped with the red-and-white Indonesian flag. A sombre atmosphere filled the scene as the coffin was loaded into the hearse, with mourners visibly grieving. The hearse departed at 15:55 WIB accompanied by a convoy of vehicles. The body will be kept at the family home in Cikeas, Bogor for the wake. ‘According to family information, the body will be kept at the family home located at Perumahan Puri Wira Bhakti 1/1B, Cikeas, Bogor,’ said Brigadier General Rico Ricardo Sirait, Chief of Information for the Defence Ministry’s Secretariat, when confirmed on Sunday (31 May 2026). Brigadier General Rico confirmed Ryamizard passed away at 14:03 WIB at RSPAD in Central Jakarta. ‘We have received condolences that General Ryamizard Ryacudu (Retired) passed away today,’ he said.
